Batman: A Death in the Family (Colored)

“A Death in the Family” is a Batman comic book story arc first published in the late 1980s by Jim Starlin, Jim Aparo, Mike DeCarlo, Adrienne Roy, and John Costanza. DC Comics and Batman editor Dennis O’Neil were already aware that Jason Todd (second Robin) had become unpopular with readers and decided to remove him from the Robin role. So the company setup two 1-900 number hotlines giving callers the ability to vote for or against Jason’s death.
Majority of callers voted in favor for the death of Jason Todd and he is killed by the Joker in the story, however, he is resurrected by Talia al Ghul in the Lazarus Pit in “Batman: Under the Hood” story arc. The pit changes him and his emotions and he becomes the new Red Hood. His debut culminates in a fateful confrontation with those he feels have wronged him.
